3. Eternal life is in Narayana
1 Today man has come
scientifically to the fullest extent, and people seem not to rise to that level
in the spiritual side. In my travel round all the world, I find many leaders of
many religions. Everybody seemed to be interested only in collecting money and
putting big buildings and getting a big name.
2 And religion seems to be only
for rich people and not for poor people. And people talk about their religion
but not about the peace which God gives to everyone. And religion puts
artificial enjoyments and not have the real enjoyment from God, by peace. And
they do not seem to know the power of God.
3 Today we talk about overcoming
death. Is death our enemy or friend? And you know, many people, they talk about
death as a friend. How did we get into this death? Did it come in the middle or
did we have death from the beginning?
4 I remember a grave which was
opened by one man who was building that house. As he broke open in, a smell of
scent came. And there was an inscription - “My daughter, you broke our hearts.
You are no more. We can never be happy, because you are dead. So in remembrance
of you, we are pouring this scent into this coffin.” So there are so many kinds
of people who died - loved ones lost; and they think there is no hope for such
people.
5 And every religion talks about
God, but they deny the power of God. Do you know the power of God's word?
6 Suppose you take American
president, he gives an order, the whole American population with the military
equipment stand by him. Reagan is an ordinary man; but he has the backing of
the whole America and all the atomic bombs and nuclear bombs. So his voice is
powerful. Russian premier, his voice is also powerful. Our Prime Minister's
voice is very powerful also. It is the ‘voice of India’. All the millions of
Indian people is represented by that one man. But do you know who is Narayana?
He is the voice of God and has all the creative power and destructive power of
God.
7 Today man comes to the extent
of creating bombs which he cannot stop falling. If a bomb falls in India in
some place, it will be terrible destruction. And man cannot live, if a war
comes.
8 What is hope of man today? Do
you think everybody will perish, or there are hopes for the people? If man is
ordained to die like a beast, why should we lead a good life at all? I want you
to think for a while about these things.
9 Everybody talks about being
born and then dying and going to rebirth. I know there is rebirth, but there is
also stopping of rebirth and joining with God. Your karma brings you into many
rebirth. But how to overcome karma?
10 Now all the great spiritual
leaders only went from the East. All prophets and everybody were lights of
Asia. Jesus, prophet Mohammed, Buddha, everybody - from the East. Recently we
had the great Gandhi with us.
11 Man puts a value - a few bullets,
and kills a man. If man can be killed by two bullets, what's the use of man
leading a good life?
12 When a man dies, the people call
him with so many good names; but in his life time, nobody calls him good. The
world will never recognize man when he is living; only after he is dead, they
call him and build big monuments.
13 And today we have come to the end
of our wits. Man cannot know how to stop a war. But I want to tell you the
power of God's voice. When God speaks, that is full of power. We have many
stories in India about that. But why God made us?
14 Suppose a man starts a business,
he puts some capital. And then afterwards he sweats, day and night he is watching;
and then at the end of the year, he is trying to find out how much he has
gained. If he has gained, he is very happy. If he has lost, he is not happy,
he'll even commit suicide. If he has gained, he is satisfied. Man does
everything for satisfaction.
15 Suppose there is a student, she
studies and studies and studies. At the end of the year she writes the
examination. And she is waiting for the results. Suppose she has passed, she
forgets all her painful study. She is satisfied! But suppose she has failed -
many students have committed suicide even. So this satisfaction is necessary
for every man.
16 The father takes care of the son.
He suffers and educates the children. When the son becomes big, if he starts
attacking the father, will he be happy? He'll feel sorry for educating that
fellow.
17 Now this Bhilai steel plant, if
it doesn't give any profit, who will keep this plant? The whole world depends
on profit and loss. So you must think in every way that you have to satisfy the
Master.
18 Man was created by God. He was
sent into this world like a plant. Suppose a man is sowing a seed, he puts the
seed, and afterwards it grows. And he is patiently waiting. One day the harvest
time is coming. Suppose the harvest is failed, he will feel sorry for planting.
19 My dear friends, you are not sent
into this world simply to fool about. God gave you a body and sent you into
this world. He planted you, He watered you, He manured you, and expecting a
fruit. What fruit you are giving today?
20 If God has planted you, you have
to satisfy the Master who planted you. That is why God comes to the generation,
to find out what these plants have done. And at the end, when the seed comes -
the seed has got a thing called ‘shuck’. The seed is in the case of a thing which
is not seed. And it will be united. And the shuck will say, “I am holding the
seed. You have to go through me to the gardener. You can't go in glory without
this shuck.” It's a lie of the devil. But when the buffalo or animal goes over
that, the seed is separated and the shuck is separated. The gardener will take
the seed only, but not the shuck. It is thrown into the fire for burning, and
the seed is collected.
21 So Narayana comes to collect the
seed today. Every seed has got life. So how did this life come? Where did this
life come from? What is this life called? There is only one Person who has got
life. In Him is life! Life is not in everybody. Only one has got the eternal
life. That eternal life is in Narayana. And that eternal life, God has put in
that Person. And that life is the light of the people.
22 You know every science -
television, everything is only by shadow they catch the rays. They can catch
the shadow. That is called television and all thing; the X-ray, where the
shadow catches the rays.
23 But man is trying to find out
life. Life is a light! But the wonderful thing about this light is, no shadow
can catch that light. So the light in Narayana cannot be caught by any
scientist. The darkness comprehended it not. That is why, the life can never be
caught by the scientists. So He comes down to give that life to you people.
24 There are many Hindus in our
country. One man goes and joins in a religion. A poor man joins a Christian
religion. Immediately goes to America, gets lot of money from America; then
comes here to India with a view to convert the whole India. And who are the
Western people? Where did Christ go from? He only went from East.
25 In those days in British times,
we sent our rubber to England and Manchester tyres came to India. And they were
talking about Manchester tyres: “Very good tyres!” - Car tyres. But the Indians
never knew that the rubber went from India.
26 It is true that the British came
and enslaved us. I was in London. They have our throne there. So I told the
British people, “You fellows are thieves, you have taken our throne and stolen
and taken and put in your museum.” You know what they told me? “If we could
steal that from India, you must be fools.” Yes! We are divided, we are divided
and divided, and so we become of no power.
27 You can't unite in any religion.
But you can unite in that one God. You can unite under our Creator. Have you
seen Him? Why don't you pray to God and say, “O my Creator, show yourself to
me”, then He will appear to you.
28 One hen was there. Somebody put a
chicken egg, and ducks egg and the eagle's egg. After some time, the eggs
hatched. The chicken came - mother was happy. Then the ducklings came, then the
eaglet came. The chicken was eating all the dirt. But the duckling went into
water. Mother was very unhappy, she thought that she was the mother of the
duckling. But the eaglet did not eat anything properly. She knew that she
doesn't belong to that. She grew - that eaglet grew. One day one eagle was
giving a noise. Then the eaglet knew that she doesn't belong to that chicken
but it belongs to heaven. I am not talking to people who are chickens. ...(Break in recording.)
29 He can give His life into the
Avatars and take it back. That is why Sri Narayana came into Sri Rama, Sri Krishna,
who came as avatars, having the life of Narayana. And God was hiding that name
from the beginning to end. The names which we call the name of God, is only
common names. But Sri Narayana has His own name. So He had to come to the earth
in His own body, so that He won't be killed. And all who are in Him can
overcome death.
30 So in India, there are certain
people who don't bow down to any religion. And God comes to them, to show them
the true way. We have got many days here for preaching. Then I will be giving
you certain hints about overcoming death. Of course, everybody talks about
death only.
31 Now today, we have got the sun.
How do you calculate your time? I met a man today, he said, “I am forty years
old.” What is the meaning of that? That the earth has gone round the sun three
hundred and sixty five days for forty years. So we are guided only by that
time. Everybody has got a time piece. “Now it's nine o' clock, I must go to
sleep; It is five o' clock, I must get up.” - “I am fifty years, my legs are
paining. I am always thinking about death.” Because you are fifty years, you
are thinking about death. So your thinking is always on the sun. You are
controlled by the surya bhagawan. But suppose instead of the earth you are in
the sun - you are able to be in the sun, how will you calculate your time?
There is no time after that.
32 So first of all, the calculations
by this sun is the one which makes us die soon. If you fly by plane, you will
know that secret. If I take a plane from here to America, leave at about six o'
clock in the morning and travel about ten hours, the time in America will be
only about twelve o' clock. That means, I have gained six hours. So, that is
why the time cannot be trusted.
33 So this time calculation is
responsible for taking our life and thinking. You don't become old because you
are fifty! My great grandfather was living for hundred and thirty years. His
eyes were perfect. He was able to walk thirty miles. He was perfectly healthy
till he died. Today you see man at the age of forty!
34 This is the common thinking. You
go home and think. You need not sleep because it is ten o' clock. It should not
control you. That is why we don't wear any wristwatch today. Today, man is
ruled by the sun. So that is one of the reasons.
35 Excuse me today, I am not going
to pray individually. I am going to give you a mass prayer. And you will see
the power of God striking you and your getting deliverance from your sickness.
God is not the author of sickness. So we have to resist the sickness. When you
resist, your sickness goes away.
36 One day a doctor told me that I
got TB. Within two days I became very weak, as if I had TB. And afterwards, I
went and consulted another doctor. “Bro. Lawrie, you have no TB.” Then next day
I was strong again.
37 Many of the people get terribly
afraid of a doctor's word. They believe in doctor's word so much. Why don't you
believe God's word? God says that God never sends sickness. God wants to heal
your body. God wants to fill you with the Spirit. Man is not having God's
Spirit, you must get it. You have got a life, but this life will make you die.
But when you get that life, your karma is gone; your sins are forgiven. And
this age, you can get eternal life. That is the thing! When I bless you, open
your heart. See the power of God coming in your life.
38 I want every one of you to get up
and tell these words after me. I am not going to pray individually. Tell these
words after me. Everybody, close your eyes and tell these words after me. No
individual prayers - there is no individual prayer today. Close your eyes and
tell this prayer after me. Close your eyes!
39 ‘Our loving Creator’ - tell this
after me! ‘Our loving Creator’ - tell after me! ‘Our loving Creator, we come to
You today. We are full of sin and karma.’ Close your eyes! ‘We wanted You to
forgive our sins. We have come for Your blessings.’
40 Keep your right hand on the sick
part of your body. Think about your loved ones far away who wants prayer. If
you have no peace, put both your hands and ask God for peace. Think about your
loved ones far away. If anybody is sick far away, you remember them where you
are standing. If you have no job, think about that and ask God to give you a
job.
41 Put all your problems before God.
You don't carry a suitcase, when you get into the bus or a train. Put your
problems before God and tell these words after me. ‘I believe God has come
down. I want Your blessing today. My Narayana, I want your healing. I don't
want to join any religion. I don't want to join Christianity. I want You to
bless me today.’
42 So let us pray: In the name of
God, I command every sickness to leave these bodies! Every demon power get out
of their bodies! Heal them Lord! Solve their problems! Fill them with the peace
of God! Give them eternal life! Give them peace! Every devil get out of their
bodies! Fill them with the power of God! Thank You for doing that in Your new
name Lord.
