GOD Part One Some people say that it is not necessary to know God. It is a great thing to know that God came down. But you know, to know God and the Word [the Lord with Form] it is not an easy thing. And once you come to know God closer and closer you find you are unable to act on your own self. When you try to act on your own self we find that we become mighty ourselves. But to allow God to work in our lives, we have to become nothing. You know, sometimes people will say, “Lord, make me nothing”. Actually God must make us something. We are nothing. There is nothing in man to glorify him, because man is a bundle of nerves. Man is full of sin and sickness and sorrow. And what is there to give to God in our lives? Only stinking nature. But when we come to God, He makes this stinking nature to blossom and bear fruit. God means object of worship. God is the creator of the Universe.
