The Guidance of God

Based on the messages of GURUDEV SHRI LAHARI KRISHNA.

The devotees, however, who loving no one else constantly think of Me, and worship Me in a disinterested spirit, to those ever united in thought with Me, I bring full security and personally attend to their needs. (Bhagawad Gita 9:22)

“I bring full security and personally attend to their needs.” - What comfort these words bring to perplexed and troubled souls.

·        We would like to know the end from the beginning.

·        We would like to know what the future holds.

·        We would like to make our plans years ahead,

·        but God’s way is for us to walk with Him one step at a time.

·        Our fallen nature demands our obeying only our five senses. This is a life of faith and walk of faith.

Perhaps some who read this are troubled by the black clouds that are gathering in the horizon.

·        Perhaps you are confronted with problems that seem to have no answer.

·        You are faced with such great difficulties that you do not see how that you can possibly get through.

For this reason you are in the depths of despair. Your soul is cast down and filled with heaviness. You have lost the joy of your salvation, hence you have lost the testimony for Shriman Narayana.

The trouble is, you have your eyes on your troubles and not on the Lord Narayana. His promise is “as thou goest step by step, the way shall be opened up before thee”.

      Our part is to keep on moving forward one step at a time.

ô   His part is to open up the way before us. He has prepared everything for us.

Perhaps the Lord has put you in this difficult situation in order to teach you to try Him. He wants to teach you to walk with Him. You wish to walk and live in your own way, the Lord wants to teach you to walk in His own way. His way is the right way. It is the best way. See how He taught the Pandavas in the Forest, to live the life totally depending on Him.

 Today people preach a false and easy religion of miracles and prosperity ‘these are the people who rejected God’s way’. When Draupadi was in a critical situation in which she had to provide food for Sage Durvasa and his disciples, she was not trying to call talented cooks from the city, or trying to order food from a hotel. She just prayed to Shri Krishna, and He very easily solved the problem.

Read what Lord Narayana says in Gita.

Completely rid of passion, fear and anger, wholly absorbed in Me, depending on Me, and purified by the penance of wisdom, many have become one with Me even in the past. (Gita 4: 10)

Fix your mind on Me, be devoted to Me, worship Me and make obeisance to Me; thus linking yourself with Me and entirely depending on Me, you shall come to Me. (Gita 9: 34)

On the other hand, those who depending exclusively on Me, and surrendering all actions to Me, worship Me (God with attributes), constantly meditating on Me with single-minded devotion. These, Arjuna, I speedily deliver from the ocean of birth and death, their mind being fixed on Me. (Gita 12: 6-7)

If God is able to save us from this mundane world and Bless us with Jivan Mukthi; can’t He solve our day to day problems? Think a little.

1. First of all your heart must not have the will of your own. Once you keep your heart at this point over a given matter, then you are only a little way to the knowledge of God’s will. Totally depend on God.

2. Do not leave the result to feelings or simple impressions or false prophesies etc. If so you will come under great delusions as many so-called Bhaktas are - without surrendering their will but dictate to God what their will is and asking God to obey their will. This is a powerful center for the devil and emotions to work.

3. Then see the will of the ‘Paramathma’ in connection with the Scriptures. The Paramathma and the Scriptures must agree. That is our ‘Rubbing Stone’ [Just as the goldsmiths rub the gold in the rubbing stone to know its quality, we must check everything we think as the guidance of God, with the Scriptures].

4. Now watch carefully the Providential Circumstances. This is walking, “without shoes”. We walk roughly with shoes on but slowly without them. These will indicate God’s will in connection with the Scriptures and the Paramathma.

5. Then Prayerfully ask God to Reveal His Will Correctly and Clearly.

After considering all these things you will be able to come to some clear decision prayerfully. God hears your prayers in this period positively because He has come down to this world as the Last and Final ‘Kalki Avatar’.

Then after a few “Believing” Prayer your mind will come to perfect peace.

I have found this method unfailing and by following this method I am able to Overcome All my Problems and the Frustrations caused by it. And again, I am able to please God totally. Otherwise I will be like the king Drutarashtra who was not able to understand who the Lord Krishna is even after hearing the complete Bhagawad Gita through Sanjaya.

This way will keep your eyes open without getting into Spiritual blindness, and putting your load on others.

I am a very happy man since I came to trust our Lord Lahari Krishna. In this way riches and prosperity are not everything in this world. The people of God are a movement not a dead monument. The Gopikas had better guidance than the king Uddhava.
