As a Little Child

Mark 10:13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.

14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

 Faith means simple belief like a child.

You become the child of God; you get the character of God. Then you can’t separate from God.

What is the meaning that you can become god? The meaning is, God has come inside you. You do not become God! But because God has come to you, you become His child, and you walk like Him.

So faith is only for the children and not for the outsiders.

If you are a child of God you will have faith.

A child of God will be bold on God’s word. I am not afraid of 10,000 army men. But I am afraid of going away from one word.

Telling lies you cannot say that you are His [God’s] child.

Suppose a child is born, it is getting the spirit of the father, then only it becomes his child. [If you are born of God you will have His Spirit]

Even a small child of five years old can come in Aadhi Bali, if he believes properly.

Even a small child can do what? It can follow God.

Let us suppose a small child comes and gives me ten peppermints. It comes to me and inquires ten times, “Is it safe? Is it safe? Is it safe?” But if it is a real (good) child, it will hand over it with the hope, “Dad will return it later.” Now I go and deposit my money in the bank. Will I go and inquire everyday, “Is it safe? Is it safe?” Once it is deposited, it becomes their responsibility. After we commit our lives into His hands, whose responsibility is it? We are relieved of our responsibility.

¬ Believe every Word of God, like a child, without trying to question in your mind whether what the Word says is possible or impossible. That is what is called ‘Faith’.

¬ If you are a child of God every work you do your conscience will be pricking you. If you are the devil’s children you will be rude.

¬ What does a child of God do? Lord you are meeting our needs. Then you see the hand of God.

¬ “Oh I have got a big problem.” But with that problem there is also problem solver there! If He gives a problem, and if the solver of the problem stands there, how will that become a problem to you? There is no thing called a problem for a child of God.

¬ You know, when you don’t repent, you are not a child of God.

¬ If you talk in tongues, and you are not on the word of God, you are certainly not a child of God. But if you are a child of God, you must be filled with the Spirit of the Father. Now we’ve got to be filled with the Spirit of the Bridegroom. That’s the power that has come now in our generation.

Talk to God, like a child to a father.

People think God is somebody far away. Talk to Him, like a child to a father. You do not read from a book but you talk out of your heart. You know, they think that because you cannot see Him, it cannot be God, but God is right in your midst.

We are growing like a baby. Our Spiritual body is growing that way.

As we know, when we control our five senses and allow faith to work in our lives there is great power. The Bible says all that we see will disappear, all that we do not see will stand. But what we think, all what we see will be permanent. We had many worldly notions.

We think man can live without God, but Godly man thinks, how we lost power from God.

So just like a baby is growing our spiritual body develops. Now when a baby is born we do not give strong meat to the baby, it will die. We give milk. As the child grows bigger it takes a stronger diet, and one day it becomes very strong. All the weakness goes away, what he had as a child. As a baby he cannot think for himself.

When it is about to be born, it needs the protection of the mother.

But in the stomach it gets the protection in a marvellous way from God.

But when it becomes big it does not need the protection of anybody. Its brain is developed so much that it can think for itself. We have been taught in the denomination that something will happen so thrilling and all. So we thought we want to see that and believe. But Bible clearly says without faith it is impossible to please God. Every religious man and Christians will say that they have faith.

How did you believe Jesus?

¬  Did anyone see him crucified?

¬  Did anyone of us stay there at his time?

¬  Did we see his death?

¬  Did you see him rising up on the third day?

¬  But why did you believe that?

Because the Bible says Jesus rose again and we could not see that, our five senses did not see anything of that. It happened two thousand years ago.

As a man leads his child…

I like to show you a Verse where God has been leading us in a marvellous way.

Deut.1:29-31 -“Dread not, neither be afraid of them. The Lord your God which goeth before you, He shall fight for you.... And in the wilderness ... the Lord thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son... until ye came into his place”.

Now see how Moses figures it. Just like a man carrying his child. Israel was carried in the wilderness.

That is a strange thing. He could have compared it to any other thing. He says how the Lord thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, not a daughter even. As a son in all the way ye went. And all the way ye went until ye came into this place.

Suppose a man carries a child,
Who is walking?	The boy or the man, Umm! It is the man!
And if anybody comes to fight, the child does not go to fight,	The father goes to fight.
And the child doesn’t go to find food,	The food comes to its mouth.
There is no strain, the strain is on the father	And not on the son.
The child should remain in the place where the father keeps him	and other things are done by the father.
The child can only shout or do mischief	But all important things are done by the father.

 

So he tells, in the wilderness I carried you like a father does a son, until you came into this place.

(Vs.32-33)- “Yet in this thing ye did not believe the Lord your God. Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day”.

–What should the child do? The child should simply believe the father. But the complaint was, “In this thing ye did not believe the Lord your God”. But he went to prepare a place before you. Jesus said, I go to prepare a place for you, after I prepare I will come and take you unto myself. See how the Lord God moves–by lightning in the night and cloud in the day. So this vindication, shows us that the Lord guides us. A second one is He is the Lord God who guides us. Lightning and clouds is the vindication of Zion as you know. So God led before us. Just like a man, that Word Man.

It does not say, like a horse or an eagle but like a man carrying his son. A man will not carry his wife, wife he leads, child he carries. In Proverbs it says about the way of a man with a maid.

The man leads the woman. The woman does not lead the man.

So here, God bears us like a father bears his son and leads us like a husband leading the wife, till we reach our destination.

(Vs.34-37) - “And the Lord heard your words,.... and sware saying, Surely there shall not one of these men.... see that good land.... save Caleb.... and to him will I give the land he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the Lord. Also the Lord was angry with me...”

Now see, Moses who also got punishment.

(Vs.38)- “But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee he shall go in thither; encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it”.

(Vs.39)- “Moreover your little ones”,

Now listen, this is very important,

“...which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil”.

–Hallelujah! I WANT TO ASK WHO ARE THESE LITTLE ONES?

I used to think these were small little children. But they are big mighty men like Joshua and Caleb, who had no knowledge, who didn’t eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. They were not telling how the rapture is going to be or how it is going to happen or I don’t believe it. They were saying it has to happen because the Lord said it.

See how the Lord has been gradually leading us, step by step, wonderful God. And this gradual guidance step by step, requires patience.

Many people say, nothing has happened, but for a child of God, everything has happened already.

But of course, for a man who has eaten of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, it has not happened.

However God never fails.

Why do you fall today?

Why do you fall today? Because you are trying to catch God.

Suppose a child tries to catch me, and I run from the child, it will fall. But if I catch the child, it won’t fall. Ask God to catch you, you won’t fall. Even if you fall, He will drag you. But if you try to catch God, you will fall 20 times, 100 times, you will keep on falling. That is not a testimony. [பூனைக்குட்டி தத்துவம், குரங்குக்குட்டி தத்துவம்]

But now [Pray], ‘Lord catch me, I have been catching you all these days, now you catch me tonight’.

How to commit our lives?

Our God is the Creator. He created the sun and the moon and the stars. So even though there is a time and season and everything he overrules that. So when we trust God and go, if anything bad comes to us, He prevents that by bringing another incident. [IIKings 18: 17 to last verse. And IIKings 19: 1 to last verse. Vs. 34 to 37 important] So that we can walk by faith. Not by fear.

So he gave the rule, not to consult an astrologer, not to consult a dead spirit. Because they will mislead you from the True God. So we commit our lives.

How to commit our lives?

Now a child can catch my hand. But that will fall. But if I catch the child’s hand, that child will not fall. In the same way, it is not how you catch God. If you catch God, you will fall. God must catch you. Then you will not fall. So you must give your hands to the Lord and say, ‘Catch me Lord’. Then you do not have worries. Sometimes some people are unduly worried.

Before claiming anything from God…

Praise be to the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We thank God for these days, and for the revelation He has been giving us from time to time. Before claiming anything from God, we must know for certain, what He has laid up for us. God always gives us what is beneficial to us.

If a child were to ask a blade from the father, the father will refuse to give it to the child; and the child may become angry with the father. But the love of the father can never permit him to hand over a blade to the child. So, God has assigned spiritual blessings to the Bride. But if the Bride were to ask for physical blessings like wealth and property, the Lord will naturally refuse to grant that request, because He knows by granting it, the Bride will lose eternal life and glory. If you are right with God, He is certain to fulfill all His promises.

Believe God for EVERYTHING.

You give a child and say: Child, do you believe you have ten dollars? She will say, yes it is here. But suppose I say, I believe there is ten dollars in the name of Jesus, that ten dollars come right in the hand. That is real! You can stop trains, buses, everything. They cannot go leaving you. I know many times, I will be late for the bus and I say: “Lord, don’t allow that bus to go”. That bus never goes - many times, not just one time. One day, I said: “Lord, stop the bus”. I never asked for a seat. So when I went to the bus, the conductor said: “No seat”. Then I said: “I want a seat, Lord”. Then one man got off the bus and I got the seat. I believe. Believe God for everything. Not only for your tummy, but everything, EVERYTHING.

If you are a  MACHINE you are not a child of God.

God knew what was going to happen to you when He predestinated you. Don’t think you are like a MACHINE, doing only like a MACHINE DOES; if you are a  MACHINE you are not a child of God. I can take a small child pinch her ears, beat her, scold her and say, “Call me daddy.” That child will call me Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, out of fear. But when I go home my son will come and say “Daddy” without pinching the ears. That is my child. If you are a child, you know what it is. So, many people can be forced into believing something and out of fear they say “God, God, God, God”, that doesn’t make you a child. God can make you an automaton. He can write on the heavens and say “Jesus is coming soon.” Why, preaching would not be necessary. You would not need to preach here at all. He could arrange on the sky around all the stars together, the Lord who made all the stars, He can put it right on the heavens and say “Jesus Christ is the Light of the World.” And the whole world will believe it. That would be like a machine. People would believe it because God wrote it. But when the love of God comes into your heart and you say, “Lord I praise you”, then you are a child.

As a mother teacheth her child.

That is why God wants the Bride to grow and tells the people in so many wonderful ways just like the mother teaching the children. Suppose a child is born, the father wants to teach the child, but the father doesn’t have patience. When a son comes and asks, the lazy father doesn’t hesitate to say, “Get out boy and don’t worry me”. But what does the mother say? “Come on let me teach.” And to teach the children, suppose the mother says, “Say k-i-n-g, king and the child says g-i-n-g, ging.

You must therefore have a lot of patience to teach the children. So God has been teaching man all along from creation. He has been teaching man to find God. Just like a teacher or mother teaching the children, with pictures.

If you meditate on this car you will go in the rapture.

Are you a child of God?” So what is a child of God, a child of God.... my son doesn’t work for me for salary. He does a lot of work for me, but he doesn’t let daddy give him monthly 200 dollars. He serves me and when he wants, he will take in a lump. That is the way of a son. My wife doesn’t help me for salary. One day I was driving the car, my wife was telling me, I was her driver. Yes, why not? You are my driver, God is our driver, He drives us through all the thing.

Now listen my friends, you all came in cars, everybody has got a car.

•     Does the car plan its life?
•    Does it murmur why you put it out?
•    Is it sorry because you put it in the mud?
•    Is it sorry because you put it in sunlight?
•   Is it sorry because it is raining?
•   Does it complain to you if the muffler or something goes wrong? Does it come and tell you, “Please, the muffler is gone”. It doesn’t tell you....

If you meditate on this car you will go in the rapture. If you will just be like an automobile, you will surely go in the rapture....if anything is wrong who is worried? The owner. Muffler goes down, he comes in. Sometimes he puts it in the car shed, and in the car shed he doesn’t touch it at all, full of dust but if he wants to go to California or some other place he comes and takes the car, cleans it everything...puts the oil, water everything, cleans the mud, everything. If there is a muffler breaking, he takes it and puts a new muffler.

Then he puts the key, everything is inside. You have all the message to fly but you don’t have the key. Even the gasoline you have. You have got oil, no doubt, but without that key, switch... But when he switches, you don’t go in your way, he takes you through mud everything. But it goes on.

That is what God is going to do. He is not going to say, “Oh, Bride, come do my wheel and steer it out, I am waiting for you come on.” He is coming down in the world to take you. You will get a revelation of Jesus Christ and you will walk with Him; that will give you rapturing faith. That period when you should catch the Bridegroom is NOW. This Bible is for YOU. Everything is true and everything is going to happen. So my friends, believe Jesus is coming.

Keep quiet and shut your mouth.

But this we speak of is not a religion; this is our Bridegroom. He is attached to you in a different way like a wife and husband. He cares for you. He does everything for you, you don’t bother. He is the man who is doing all the things for you. Just sit and shut your mouth.

You know what is the greatest thing for a man to do?

To keep quiet and shut his mouth.

If you see a child, it will never keep quiet. He will keep on doing that, doing this, acting like this, acting like that. So we are like children, we can’t keep quiet.

But if we just keep quiet, we will be a mighty people.

God wants us to keep quiet doing nothing: for the Lord to move through you.

When YOU move, He doesn’t move.

That is why He said, He is our arm, He is our will. He is our will and arm. What is an arm? When somebody comes and strikes you, you strike back. You use YOUR arm. But when you keep quiet, God uses His arm, and that arm is terrible. You will see, He will get a lesson. Did not God say “Keep quiet?” Other fellows will jump over their heads and you just sit quietly. In India many people tried to hit me, but every time God punishes.

1. Put away childish things.

When the perfect is come, all that is in part is done away.

“When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” (1 Cor. 13:11).

How did you think and understand like a child?

We sang, ‘We’ll be walking on the golden streets of Jerusalem.” We used to think that heaven will be paved with gold, and we would fly with wings to heaven. All these are childish thoughts. My granddaughter Laura would say, “Grandpa, don’t go near the snake. It will bite you. Did you see the snake?” It was moving its head. My, it nearly came and bite me. Oh, I was afraid.’ Actually, the snake never even went near her. That’s her imagination. That’s childish talk. But when I became a man, I put away childish things.”

2. Put away childish things.

Are we fools to believe that the rapture is finished?

God’s Word says that.

And also, we have been believing so many things according to our five senses. What does Paul say? Now I see through darkly, but then face to face.

Now suppose a child grows he will tell so many things. Which is not proper grammar or found in the Tamil language, he will say so funny words, and it is not in the Tamil language. Every child will talk something, For water it will tell something. For milk it will say “Oooo” and the Mother will know “Oooo is milk. Now for the cows when my grandchildren see, they say “Matha”, “Munda”.... So Matha means cows… After sometime, then they know Munda is not correct Monday is correct. Then we don’t tell the child, then why did you pronounce it wrongly before?

So in our faith, so many things have been put in our brain by the seeing and believing denomination. When we were small children, they said the Christmas father would come. So I thought on Christmas day the great father would come and give us presents. So, I always thought there would be a great father, a white father like that. And we are taught, we will fly in the air, and the rapture will come and one man will be in the car, he will disappear the car will go and dash against something, one man will be cooking and while the cooking is there, the pots will be boiling and...... the planes will crash without pilots and the trains without drivers.

So when the people came here Brother Lawrie, my hand is taking a different shape, it is putting on glory. Then suddenly Jaundice-came! My, I thought glory will come, it is only Jaundice. The body has become yellow, I thought it had put on gold. Actually one sister said: “Bro. Lawrie I think my body is putting on glory ...gold.” “I’m sure glorification is right on.” Then I said, let me see your hand whether it is also turning gold. And the Doctor said, my! see the urine, it will be yellow. My! jaundice.

Suddenly one lady will come, Brother I don’t have sense in my body I think I am putting on immortality. Then later on we found it was the beginning of leprosy.

Some people always wear white to go in the glory. So many things happen. But for us, it can come only as the prophet said, not in any other way.

So, God had to beat and take away all those false things and [make you] believe the Word.

Come like a child to God.

Go home, be on your knees and seek God.

Don’t be overconfident. Tell the Lord, ‘In thy blood, I have perfection.’ No flesh will glory before God. Every knee will have to bow down. Every mouth will [have to] confess-only if God has come down…

…Then the Lord will speak. We will know what a great God we have. “Not by might nor by power, but by the Holy Ghost saith the Lord.” What power do we have! Let us die to our power. The least among you will be the greatest in heaven. Come like a child. If you give a child a hundred rupees now, it will throw it away after sometime. It will have no value for money. Have a sacrificial life. Eat to live. Don’t live to eat. God blesses us when we are together in community life.

Believing on Jesus and Believing on Son of Man.

What does Paul say in his exposition of love?

“For we know in part, and we prophesy in part”-(I Cor. 13:9).

Why does he say, ‘in part’? Because it was only one-seventh of the spirit.

“But when that which is perfect (when all the seven spirits together in fullness) is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things (Vs.10- 11).

¬ Believing on the Lord Jesus makes you a child;

¬ But believing in the Son of Man makes you a man.

Why?

Because that gives you a deeper understanding of the scriptures. This new message makes the knowledge in existence for 2000 years, vanish away. When I understood this message, I realised that my years of preaching and Bible reading have been wrong. It is too hard for people to understand it.

What is our home?

¬  What is the home of a wife? Is it the building or the husband?

¬  What is the home of a child?

¬  You know, you can’t show a doll or anything to the child except the mother. Why?

Mother is the home for the child.

In the same way, suppose one says, this earth is our home–but when God is in Heaven, how can this earth be a home for you?

Unless you discern things, you go wrong.

[A man does a sin and nothing happens to him] So he thinks that God has forgiven it because he is not getting a blow. No, he is a bastard child.

If you are a child of God surely you will get a punishment, you will be afraid, you know that fear of God, “Oh he will punish me” that’s God’s seed.

That is why, some people will be keeping on murmuring because, the thing is they don’t belong to the seed. Whatever you preach they will say, it’s for me, it’s for me. You know we don’t tell the names and they’ll say, you preached about me, preached against me. If the cap suits you, put it on, but as we preach, we don’t think about a person and preach. But if you think that it applies to you, repent. Because God cleanses us, and puts the fear of God in us. That is why, you know, unless you discern things, you go wrong.

Word is building you.

The Word comes down. The union of the Bride, produces the Word inside her also. I don’t want to tell anything here if you are on the Word. God will open the veil and show you the Word.

Sometimes people say, Bro. Lawrie is partial, but see inside, whether you are according to the Word.

And if there is anything not coming now of the Word don’t take it. But if your heart says OK, if the Spirit of God fills you, you grow. Then the next revelation comes. Can any fellow come today and say take a book and understand? Come on! Let me read your books and understand.... he will never understand.

Suppose a baby is born, somebody is giving birth to a child, [If] I take the Lord God book and say child you read it, you will be raptured???

You have to be spoon fed, then nipple feeding, bottle feeding, then milk feeding, then tomato feeding and other little bread feeding - but you must understand the Word is building in you.

That is what Brother Branham said. Rapture is a revelation. You go home for two months, suddenly you come and ask, can I get some message? I want to read them and come upto date. When you come upto date, another message comes, but WHEN THE MESSAGE IS GIVEN THE SPIRIT ALSO FILLS YOU.

You can satisfy yourself, but be careful.

Holy Ghost feeds you like a Mother. So this body inside, the Holy Ghost has to feed you, then you grow big, so all the five senses are closed.

•   Now what about the future of his children?The future of my children are good, wonderful.
•   What about the education and degrees?They are Eternal, they are Eternal, they are Eternal.
•   Are you mad? Don’t you have senses? Do you know why the people call us mad?

If they don’t call you a mad man you are not in Heaven.

Light and darkness.

You know the Lord did not come to give us comfortable life,

--He has torn our hearts.

--Some people they have a pain in their hearts.

--Others have their wives and their wives keep on giving pain, like Paul’s thorn in the flesh. They have prayed and prayed and fasted, but God seem to say, My Grace is sufficient for thee. My strength will be found only in your weakness.

The wife comes and tells her problems. Then the husband comes and tells his problems, if I take the wife’s side, the husband gets angry, and if I take the husband’s side.... so I am in a position if I talk favorable to the husband about the wife, the husband gets angry, or if I support the husband, the wife gets angry. Support both of them you are called, a double tongued fellow. Then they say we believe the Lord God but this fellow in the flesh....it’s all… no justice.

So after glorification there will be truth. But you know today, I was just thinking, these experiences God gives us, must be taken in a educated way [as a Teaching].

Take a child, it sees the light, it is very fond of the light, and then every time the mother puts the light [candle light] the child is very happy. One day the Mother goes away somewhere, the daughter just touched the light, “Oh wonderful light”. [the fire burnt its fingers] Then she cries, and after that she will never go near the tree of knowledge of good and evil [fire], but the hand is burnt, but she keeps on crying. But that one burning has changed her life.

So, you find the whole light for darkness. When the light comes the darkness runs away. So, if your heart is full of light, darkness won’t have any effect on you.

Man child.

This catching up of the “Man Child” does not mean that he is going to some far away place, but it is only the changing of the dimension of authority and glorification.

Till then the Child cannot do anything. Because the “Man Child”, till he was in the stomach, he was protected by a bag of water, etc., inside the mother, and was silent.

It is like a silent period without any ministry.

This makes the people think that the “Man Child” has lost the ministry, or fallen in Grace. The woman also immediately after the birth forgets her pain and travail. Even though a child has legs and hands, he cannot do anything inside the stomach, and even after the birth also, he is still not strong; but here the “Man Child”, on being brought forth, gets power right there, all power in heaven and earth.

If God has called you, the money comes running.

We had lot of expenses. How did the money come? How did the water come through the well? It will be coming under that well. In the same way, we don’t know from where it comes.

Suddenly yesterday, one lady who was not in our ministry, she gave an envelope. I put it there. “May be, it might be ten rupees”, and went home. That was thousand rupees. I was thinking, ‘There are so many believers in our ministry, they say, ‘I love God’, but why did this lady give?’ (Side change)

You know what she told me? “All these years you are only preaching for fifteen minutes. Now only you preach for nearly more than an hour. And I know all what you say is true. And this is my love to you.” God is in that.

 If you say: “Hey! Where is the tithes? Are you going to give the tithes? God will curse you! You won’t get any blessings,” you will be cursed. Not that person. The person who asks only gets the curse. So what do the people say today? ‘Oh, pay the tithes.’ You are decent beggar. Decent beggar! If anybody comes and asks for tithes, he is not a child of God, he is a decent beggar - dignified beggar.

You go and kneel down and pray. If God has called you, the money comes running. A fool whom God has not called, he will collect money. Anybody who is collecting money, he is having no call of God.

48th chapter of Isaiah.

9 For my name’s sake will I defer mine anger,

-- For My name’s sake I will keep My anger for a later time. That means, He is angry even then.

and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.

-- ‘For my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.’ That I cut thee not off - that I don’t cut and kill you.

What?

Because of my praiseworthiness!

Why?

Suppose even if any man does any mistake and try to make a business out of God’s work, He can cut down immediately, because He has got power to kill him; destroy him totally. Then they will be all be afraid and praise God out of fear.

I can take a small boy, do like this, do like this to the ears, (Ayyah shows actions like twisting the ears), beat the boy, “Dey! Call me ‘daddy’, you fellow!” - He’ll say, “Daddy, daddy, daddy, daddy...” (Ayyah tells it in a tone unable to bear the pain.) But my son - “Daddy!” That is out of love, because he is born in me.

Why God doesn’t kill you?

If He kills you, even the children will be afraid and praise Him with fear - with fear and trembling.

But I can’t understand why children should be afraid to talk to their father - trembling. Then he is not a child.

Ninety percent of the people are like a stone.

What is the difference between Christianity and Hinduism?

We have the truth. But we behave as if it is a lie.

But the Hindus have no truth, but they will try to prove it as truth.

[How?] If you go and tell it: “Can you worship the creature?” They will say, “What’s wrong in that? We see God through that.”

Suppose there is a child, will the child find out the mother only by the form? Somehow or other it will find her; hear the voice: ‘Mamma!’ Just looking at a person, even far away you cannot see; by some sense it will find out.

So in the beginning, the mother and father want to see the child. Always they will keep the child in their hands. They will keep looking at its face, they will see this and that, “O dear! What? Doogly, doogly, doogly, doogly...” (Ayyah laughs.) I am so surprised to see one baby making a noise: ‘Gudu, gudu, gudu’ that we can’t make it. ‘Digli, digli, digli’ - I don’t know how it comes. So, that little voice has got more power to show how she is trying to express herself.

One day there was a father and mother. A child was born to them. It can’t see, it can’t walk, it can’t use the hand, it can only cry when it is hungry. But the mother was trying to express herself to her, but there is no response from that child. She says, “My eye, my gold, my pet bird.” It doesn’t move! It is like a dead child. It can’t move. But mother wanted her to express her feelings. And she doesn’t respond. One day she was telling, “If my daughter could only express her feelings how happy I will be!” So the mother one day asked somebody to take care of the child and went away. Usually at 12 o’ clock she will have to give food. That day she came at 1 o’ clock. As the mother came, by some feeling this child knew that it is the mother by the touch. As it understood the mother has come - she can’t hear, she can’t see and everything, but by the touch she knew it’s the mother. And she suddenly started moving like this. Then she was very happy: “Now my child understands me.”

Likewise God does so many things to make us understand that He is living. Now we eat from Him, we breathe in Him, we see light in Him. But ninety percent of the people are like a stone. They will never express their feelings. Worshipping stones, they are like stones. But they will talk philosophies.

Angels for whom?

They will say, you know, like auto suggestion. He’ll say, ‘Do you see an angel behind me?’ He has to tell, ‘Yes.’ Till then, he’ll say, ‘Come on, look properly. Don’t you see? If you are a child of God you will see.’ So when he says, ‘If God is really with you, you will see the angel behind me,” what does he do? He says, ‘Yes, yes, there is an angel.’ So he becomes a child of God. You can’t bring angels like that. Who are you to be protected by the angel? Because, even the police man won’t protect you? You just go to the police, he will finish your case. One angel will kill millions of people. So for God to give you one angel, why should He give it to you? Because you believe in Jesus? No! God was all along giving the angel only to the David’s line.

How does God pull you?

If God’s love doesn’t pull you to Him, there is something wrong with your love. I don’t care who you are, if you are trying to bring disruption in a Spiritual meeting, God is not in you. Because I didn’t come here to collect your money and go. I want to bring you a blessing, with the power God gave to my life. God can do anything! All things are possible. You may say your child’s leg is twisted. It may be beyond science. Early morning you will see the child’s leg becoming alright or even right here.

Why I am telling this? With God all things are possible. And He loves you. Suppose you have got a child, if he is sick, you must understand, a cow cannot be brought but if you bring the calf, the cow will come behind you. But if you don’t turn to God, God will catch your small child and through that child you will come to God. You can go to a Doctor and give injection and all, but that won’t be final.

Narayana alone can give you peace.

One day I was in Holland and those people never trust a black man. So as I went there the leader said, “Mr. Lawrie we want you to wash all the plates here,” they didn’t know who I am, so I was washing the plates. As I was washing the plates, one man came to commit suicide. The man said this man wants to commit suicide Mr. Lawrie, talk to him. They were trying to test me. But I am cleaning the plates, hundreds of plates I had to wash every day.

So I was wondering, “Why God do I have to wash other people’s plates?” That night I was praying in the night, at 2 o’ clock I was meditating. There were looking through the keyhole. The next day they called me, “Lawrie forgive us we thought you were an ordinary many, you are a praying and meditating man”. So they told me please forgive us.

Then they said this man wants to commit suicide. I took him to the room. After sometime, we prayed. Great peace came into his heart. And many people did not know that he was a rich man. And he was the man called Mr. Frankalow. You can see his toffees in all the places in foreign countries. (After I prayed for him) he got up and said, “I got this shanthi. God bless you.” After 20 years he wrote to me I am still living. So I went to see him. That man has become a very, very rich man. He said, “Brother Lawrie I live today because of you. You gave me the peace, Today I am very happy, I believe this message.”

He doesn’t care who you are, white or black or yellow or anybody, everybody should have this peace. A Brahmin or Kshathriya or Sudhra, it doesn’t matter. Everybody who gets this peace becomes a high caste. He becomes a son of God, child of God. So I am showing the way to become a child of God. All these people giving testimonies, once they had peacelessness, and today they have peace. And they are anxious to tell you what God has done for them. And that peace Narayana can give you.

God speaks even to small children.

I know a small girl 10 years old and is the father’s pet. One day she had a desire and she told her daddy, “I want to go to Brother Lawrie’s Ashram”. The father could not leave her. One morning as this man was sitting in the house, suddenly I appeared to him, “That girl is not your girl, send her to Narayana”. Early morning the mother brought her. I said, “What is wrong with you?” (She replied) “You take your child”.

Why I am telling this, He was not talking to the big people always, to the small people also He is talking. If you have been existing with Him before the foundation of the world, God will reveal it to you. According to Krishna this body will disappear but your soul is not disappearing. The soul came from Him and you have to go to Him. So if you are in Him there is no re-birth after that.

So how to go into Him? By doing what He said.

God comes and knocks at your door!

There was a mother who had a nice beautiful girl born. After sometime suddenly the house caught fire and nobody could save that child and the mother was crying and the fire was catching them. The mother escaped but nobody could save that baby. Then a young boy ran into the house, put the blanket covered the baby and came running out. The young man’s face was all burned, he gave the child to the mother and fainted. His face became like a monkey’s face. He was in the hospital for two years and after that he was healed, he was able to walk but the face was like a monkey’s face. By that time the child was able to to walk and run about, she was a beautiful child. One day this man came, knocked at the door and the servant came and opened the door. And the child was there. And the girl said... he touched the child. The child ran to the mother, “Mummy a monkey is calling me, there is a monkey in the house”. So the mother went there, she saw the man and she said, “My boy come”. Then she called the girl, “My sweet girl, your beautiful face is because of him, because of saving you he got a monkey face. And he came to knock at your door, are you calling him a monkey?” The girl fell down and cried, “I am sorry mother”. And the girl went and touched the face, “You are my God because of me you got this bad face. I have a beautiful face because of you, I love you, forgive me for closing the door”. Then the man was happy.

In the same way, Narayana, He saved you. All through the ages He has done so many things for you, for your forefathers. But you people, you have so many things in this world, and today He comes and knocks at your door. Are you opening the door or closing the door?

My dear friends, He comes like a man, when you open your heart you must recognize Him when He comes to your house. It is a fellowship with God. “God is in heaven”, every christian will say. They will look up. But when God comes to their house they don’t understand. That is why today we are conducting the meetings here to tell you that God is great;

He wants you to open your heart by your will not by force. Do you hear His voice? Do you hear the power of His voice? It is life for you.

You ask God, “I want to serve you”.

You ask God, “I want to serve you”. And He will call you. Have you ever heard the voice of God?

Aurobindo Ghosh said he heard the voice of God in the jail.

Gandhi said he heard the voice of God.

Every man can hear the voice of God. If you are a human being, if a child is there he likes to know the father. Don’t you like to know who created you?

¬  He is your father.

¬  He searches for you.

¬  He is waiting, when my children will call me.

But you are catching the ordinary things.

Suppose your own child gets a doll and calls it “My dear daddy,” and kisses the doll, “You are my daddy”. What will you do? YOu will go and beat him, “That doll did not give birth to you, I gave birth to you”. If you call this wooden thing as your daddy hisheart will pain. But whe He created you, why are you catching the things of this world and calling it “Daddy?” How much pain He will get.

Don’t you think it pains God so much? He loves you and the FATHER has given everything free to you, but you don’t look at Him. All these things don’t came automatically. Because He knew what you needed, so He gave all these things to you.

Love the mother and father for the lengthening of your days.

See the animals, the animals love, that nature of love is there. There is a bird when it becomes very old the children carry the bird when flying. In the [migrating] season they go from one place to another.  When the father and mother are old, these birds will put the neck on the body [of the young birds] and the birds will carry them. The birds have love for their parents.

Where is the love fot the parents?

You love them, that is one of the commandments of God. Love the mother and father for the lengthening of your days.

Where… will you find that in western countries? You will find (it) only in our country. You know our country practices what God told. We are the doers of God’s Word and we are very close to God. Only thing is we have to get a touch from Him.

So God comes to you to bless you. If your heart is sincere, if you want to find peace in this world, there is no age limit. Even a small child can get that peace today. [story of Prahalada]

Neyveli - Day 1

God is telling that we should be like small children.

Small children will not go near certain people. Now to my wife, all the small children will go. But when they see me, from a distance they’ll call “Grandpa, Grandpa,” but when I look at them, what will they do? When I come near they’ll cry, “Whaeeng.”

So to control the children, they have to be given some sweets, nuts; and they have to be given things which they like. But I do not have patience for that. But if you have patience, those children will always call us. The small children, He is telling that we should become like them. (Matthew 18: And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.  ). If you ask a small child to remove the shirt, what will it do? It will remove immediately. But will you remove? Mm? “Brother...” [they have no guile]

 

Who can understand his errors?

Suppose they want to steal something, they will chance upon someone who has already got the name as thief. Suppose there is... “O, I should not tell somebody’s name.” (Congregation laugh.) Vishalakshmi! She is supposed to steal something. He’ll keep on stealing. When someone asks, “Who stole?” he’ll answer, “That must be Vishalakshmi; that should be Lakshmi; or it should be her only.” He is able to steal very nicely with that name. So this Lakshmi was in many places. Wherever you go, the blame will come on the name Lakshmi. So I shifted Lakshmi. And I brought some fried groundnuts. Suddenly that was missing in just five minutes. Now Lakshmi is not there; but even then it is missing. Will anybody say, “I only stole?”

Who can understand his errors? That is the question! Who shall know his errors? If you understand that, then you will know other people. I know my faults. Man doesn’t own it. Why? He doesn’t want to hurt his self.

Now see a small child; it will fall down ‘thadeer’. But it won’t cry. (Ayyah shows in action.) It will look around like this, and then cry, “Whaeng”. (Congregation laugh.) Only when somebody look at it, it will cry. So what we do is, when it falls down, we turn to the other side. It will get up and go by itself without crying. Why? If you see, what does its self do? “O, he has seen me falling down; he has seen me falling down; he has seen me falling down.” A small child has got so much of self. When even a small child has so much of self big people will have lots of self.

First of all you beat when it eats sand. Then secondly, it will look around, and eat the sand. (Ayyah shows in action, and told by the translator.) So that’s a nature. It is the fallen nature of man. So anywhere, when small children fall, their self is hurt. So the crying comes only when they know that you have seen it.

What is Faith?

You take a laddu and give it to a small child, what will it do? It will gulp, and it is digested. If you give it to a learned scientist, he’ll enquire: “With which flour was it made? Is rava added in this? In which oil was it fried? Whether any fly sat on it? Whether it was kept in a glass cupboard? Is there any virus present in this?” What will he do with a magnifying glass? He’ll check whether any worms are there. But by this time for the small child it would have got digested, and he’ll say, “I want to go to the toilet.” So that is faith!

What is Faith?

One day I asked my three children - they were on the wall. I asked the eldest son: “Come on, jump.” He said: “Will you catch me? If I fall, my head will break.” The second boy said: “Will you catch me? I know you won’t let me down.” But he won’t jump. The third boy, when I told, immediately he jumped. He is a small fellow. I caught him. I told him: “Why did you jump like a fool?” - “I know my father won’t let me down.” So faith is for everybody.

What is faith?

It is simply like this. If I say, “I’ll go through this wall,” if I believe that, right that moment a hole will be made.

That’s why the Bible says: “When you pray, believe that you have received it; then you get it.” (Mark 11:24). But we don’t pray like that. We pray: “Lord, I want five thousand rupees.” After the prayer we say, “Who will give this?” So you cancel your own prayer. So it is not rising to the heaven.

These are days when our prayers are heard.

Devil tests you! He wants to find whether you are born to a man and woman, or whether you are created before the foundation of the world!

But don’t worry there will be a way to escape.

The poor man is not eating properly, but when a festival comes, he’ll just cut this and that, and then he’ll eat. Only on that day he gets the opportunity to eat. What does it mean if you go and ask a person who eats half food only to fast? You should ask very fat people to fast nicely. Today if Deshikan fasts what will be his plight? Later on, only after going to the doctor and drinking some tonic what can he do? If M.S. Reddy fasts, his body can bear it. What if Apparao fasts? Within two days he’ll vomit and faint.

So like that, He [Jesus] fasted forty days. Then the devil left Him, because He is too much, and he couldn’t fight. So what is the devil doing to everyone? He wants to find out whether you are a Son of God or son of man? Whether you are a human being or Son of God? Why? Whether you are born to a man and woman, or whether you are created before the foundation of the world, he has to find out. This is his work.

Suppose you leave a job, his [devils] moustache will start to twitch: “Why did he leave his job?” Then, he only gets the test. If a test comes, only because you are His child, you get a test. So be happy for that.

You don’t say, “Test, test, test, test, test,” and don’t cry. There will be a way of escape; you have not taken the way of escape.

One day... I am also like you. One day I was in Ceylon. I was alone. A beautiful girl came. When she came, what was she telling? “O, how many days I was waiting so that you will be alone!” It seems she was waiting. “I have come at the fortunate time.” She came and locked the door inside. She came and sat beside me. “What Annan, how are you?” What am I telling? “Lord, I am also a human being; I don’t know what is going to happen in five minutes. When the cotton and fire are nearby, how can the cotton be without catching fire?” Can you say to the cotton and fire, “Both of you live happily?” Can both of them love each other? It’ll immediately catch fire. So it was about to catch fire. What does the verse say? Temptation... (Side change.)

Is it possible to fast at that time? Is it possible to put sit ups? “Lord, I am going to take exercise; I am going to fall.” 1 Corinthians 10:13:

13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man:

-- Everybody get temptations such as is common to man. You are not getting something special; but everybody have temptations. Mm:

but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able;

-- He won’t allow you to suffer more than what you are able.

but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to

bear it.

-- Aaha?

With the temptation also they’ll make a hole there, for a way of escape. But you are not looking at that. You don’t look at the way of escape, you are only just immersed in the temptation. Every time, there will be a way of escape.

Can’t I escape now? Slowly she was touching my hands and all, and then came up to here. I said, “Wait a little. I will go inside and wash my face and come.” At that time one fellow is knocking at the door. “Who is there?” She replies: “Come later; we are busy.” He just knocks and asks: “Is it the house of Lawrie? Is it the house of Paulaseer? Paulaseer! I am Moses, and I have come.” - “O my, has he come at this crucial time?” He was just tapping the door ‘tak, tak’. “Hey, what is this? I have come and you are not opening the door?” - “You go, and come later on.” - “How can that be? I’ll not leave without coming inside.” So I pushed her to a side and I sat there.

She says: “O, one fellow has come in like a devil.” He came and sat inside. He told me: “I want to sight see the town, will you accompany me?” - “I am very busy.” Like everyone else I was telling: “I am very busy.” I am not telling a lie. How you would have answered, in the same way only I also answered. He said: “I have come from India, what other work have you got? Come on, get going.” - “Hey, I have got some work.” - “Hey, I know about your jobs.” At that time she comes to say, “He has got some assignments.” - “Hey, get lost! I know about his assignments.” “Hey, you come out, and I’ll take you.” Now I could have cut him off. But that’s a way of escape for me. So I just went away. That was the one time.

Another time also in the same way! At the time when you are going to fall, it will sweat all over: but don’t fear; and the heat will increase. The feelings will pound ‘bak, bak, bak’. The heart will beat ‘dabadaba, dabadaba’. God will always... First of all conscience, it will beat “dabadaba, dabadaba, dabadaba’. If nothing else is possible, somebody will come there. Runaway with him; otherwise you will be in trouble. If you say, “O, I got caught,” you can say only after leaving the opportunity of escaping go by.

Jesus did not say: “I give power to overcome temptations.”

Where was the temptation kept? “Ayyah, I am hungry.” - “All right, you eat well.” “O, I am not able to control.” Who kept these feelings? [GOD]

I will never destroy by flood anymore..

In Noah’s days, the flood destroyed. You know in the days before Adam, there was total baptism to the earth by water. The whole world and every living being died. But when people did not understand that flood, God showed a small flood. So by Noah’s flood we can understand, how that major flood should have been. Why God got angry?

Now see, the people in Noah’s time knew that there was a big flood. Because they were building a big tower so that they were not scattered and destroyed. So they thought, if we build a big tower higher than the height of water level, some people can be saved. So the people who built the tower must be very clever people. “We must build a tower so that nobody can be destroyed by water”. So man wanted to build something for himself.

All the people who had self, they built the big tower. Immediately, God came down. When God comes down, that means He got very angry. And He said, I will go and destroy that, not destroying their works. He said: I will destroy them.

God is not angry with the world. He is not angry with the earth, but His anger comes on the people dwelling on the earth.

So immediately, man builds a big tower. Why? So that people will not die of water. But God gave a promise to Noah, ‘I will not destroy anybody by flood or anything like that’.

That means, at the end-time He is not going to destroy by flood, and He put a rainbow there. Why? Rainbow started coming down only from there.

And He said, ‘When I look up on the rainbow’.

That means, He must be on the earth for some days.

So what promise He is giving? ‘When I am destroying the earth - that will not be by water’. Why did not He say by fire? Then this fellow will be planning, how to escape from fire. Suppose some child is mischievous. While beating the child we say: ‘Hereafter, I will not beat you with cane’. That means punishment is not evaded. I will do some other thing. I may smear chilly powder on the eyes. So it is asking, ‘will you beat with cane’?. We say, No! I will never beat you with cane. Did He say, I will pinch? Then they will be asking promise for that also. So He said, I will never destroy by flood anymore. Till the end, the seasons will exist. But till the end, there will be seasons. There won’t be any uproar. But I won’t destroy by flood. So in Noah’s time, we must study the situation.

Calvary is a shadow. Aadhi Bali is the Reality.

Then what happens? But God in His mercy tells him: “Narayana who died once, He can’t die again as a man. So in remembrance of Him, you sacrifice a lamb for your sake.” So if that lamb is burnt, you think that He died.

Don’t we teach the small children the lessons! When you say ‘Pa-da-im’, it’ll say ‘dapam’. If you say ‘da-pa-im’, it will say ‘padam’. So what do they do then? They draw a picture of the elephant and say, “This is an elephant.” Suppose the child goes; an elephant comes: “Daddy! Elephant, elephant, elephant.” Our Leo will tell like that only: “Thatha, thatha! Elephant, elephant, elephant; elephant, elephant, elephant.” Why? He sees it in reality.

So why He gave the sacrifice? One day he will see, he will see the Aadhi Bali, “Father, Aadhi Bali, Aadhi Bali, Aadhi Bali,” and he’ll leave this. Till then, a picture like this is necessary.

If you have pestering disease, you are not a child of God.

Your heart must stop condemning you.

If you have a disease of scratching disease, you’ll be pestering wherever you go. You are not a child of God; you are child of the devil. You may jump and shout, but it is not; and you are not fit for glorification. God bless you.

...It does not mean that you can’t have anything in this world also. You have to be like Abraham.

¬ Every moral soul will be tested.

¬ Angels were tested. Out of three angels only two stood and one fellow fell down.

¬ Every free soul will be tested and then only given power.

¬ Even Christ Jesus, in the beginning, He had power only over hell and death. But when He was tested by God and He overcame, all power was given to Him. If even Christ Jesus was tested!!!

If you are tested for one cup of coffee and you sell Him for one dosai, vadai, better get out of this place; you are not fit for being here. So people who are married, don’t be like people who are married. If you have something, be as if you have nothing. But the main thing is, your heart must stop your condemnation; then you are fit for glorification.

If this condemnation is there, that means you have not left everything.

That which does not bend at 5 will not bend at 50.

If you compare the bringing up of children then and bringing up of children now, it is not like that now. Now children will beat their father. Then in those days no child will lift his hands to beat. Why? Bringing up a child is so difficult. So then bringing up the child with chastisement means - Bible truth. That is doer! If thou beatest him with the rod he shall not die. (Proverbs 23:13.) That which does not bend at 5 will not bend at 50. But what do you do?!

Be therewith content.

John 10: 8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

-- He says, ‘Having food and raiment, let us be content.’ What? Food and raiment. Are you having these? If you don’t have this, you are not a child of God. Which? Anywhere you go, you must at least get khanjee! He has kept so much of nutrition in that khanjee! No one has died by living on khanjee!

Violent take it by force!

So, we creation - we are people who were created, by force we have to get in. How is that? You have to become like small children. Tell something to a small child - “Child! Yesterday a monkey became a cat in that house.” - “Is it so? Then how will it shout?” Immediately it’ll believe it. So children have more faith than the bigger people. Whatever you may say - if you tell the truth, it will believe it as it is.

Claiming the Promises of God.

The thing which the Bible says is like a promise which the father gives to a small child. Now the child comes and asks, “Daddy, tomorrow I must go for an excursion; so give me hundred rupees.” So what will the child do?... What does the child know? He knows, the father will give him when he asks. But how is it written? “Ask Me and I shall give you.” (Matthew 7:7).

So this child asks: “Daddy, tomorrow there is an excursion, and we the children will come at nine o’ clock. Will you give at nine o’ clock?” - “You come exactly at nine o’ clock, I’ll give you.” Will he keep this in writing? Come on, tell! So what this child does is,... The father is praying. He comes at nine o’ clock and knocks at the door, saying, “Daddy, it is already nine o’ clock.” - “Hey, what nine o’ clock?” - “You know, did you not promise me yesterday to come at nine o’ clock? So here I am! All the children have come, and so, give me hundred rupees.”

So, what can the father do? Can he go against his word? He brings and gives him hundred rupees, finishing the prayer. He stops the prayer, comes and gives the money and goes. So when we come closer to God, we find out the will of God from this. But what should we do with His promises? Only when we hold on to them, it is life for us.

Does God know you?

Genesis 18:19:

19 For I know him,

-- “I know him.” Who says that? God says about Abraham, “I know him very well.” God should know us!

It is not you knowing God. God should know you, saying, “I can trust him.” That is the greatest thing.

But if you gossip, keep your legs on both sides [in world and in the spiritual side] and do whatever you wish, showing your head here and your tail there, how can you call yourself as a child of God? Now how many people are there like that in the Christian religion! Even after knowing the truth they hide it like kolukkattai. What does He say? “I know him.” What?

For I know him,

-- “I know him!” Mm:

that he will command his children

-- “He will command his children.” So, He [God] didn’t say - ‘that’, i.e. He didn’t say, “I will talk with his children also.”

He will command his children, and his household after him,

-- “After him, even to his household!”

and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment;

-- “They shall keep the word of the Lord and the judgment of the Lord!”

Who will keep the judgments which he had taught them? The children!

My Father in heaven, sent me with a mission. I will fear none. Because, the Spirit of the Lord is in me. That is why, if you are a child of God, if you hear the voice of God, listen and read the message, and quickly come into the fold. If you are sick in body, God can heal you immediately. God bless.
